About our team building scavenger hunts

A San Diego scavenger hunt turns the city into a puzzle to solve. Working in teams, participants follow clues, answer trivia questions, and complete fun challenges while exploring the neighborhood.

The adventure includes two restaurant stops and a dessert finale, combining interactive exploration with great local food.

- When you solve each set of clues and complete your team building challenges, your team will find yourselves at a fantastic neighborhood restaurant where you’ll fuel up for the next round of puzzles with a full meal and two alcoholic drinks.

You’ll cover an area of several blocks on foot as you follow your first set of clues. Then you’ll meet the other teams at the first restaurant to eat and rest before you head out on your second mission. The second set of activities will take you over several more blocks on foot to conclude at the second restaurant stop.

Our scavenger hunts are currently available in Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, and La Jolla, each offering a unique set of clues and neighborhood experiences.

How long is the hunt?

The scavenger hunt lasts about 3 hours, and stops at 2-3 local establishments.

How many people are on a team?

There will be between 10 and 15 people assigned to each team.

What does this scavenger hunt include?

The scavenger hunt includes two sets of challenges that will take you and your team members on different activities along neighborhood streets, food and drink at two restaurants along the way (one full meal and two alcoholic beverages per guest), complimentary dessert, and the assistance of a professional tour guide.

What do I need to bring for this scavenger hunt?

Bring your appetite and your sense of adventure! More practically: wear a pair of comfortable shoes or sneakers for walking. As you will be outside for extended periods, dress appropriately for the weather (bring a jacket or layers to protect yourself from cold or rain).

Will you wait for me if I'm running late?

If you are running late, please notify our office by phone at (619) 233-8687. Due to time constraints and reservations, tours must begin on time as scheduled; however, if you let us know that you cannot make the start of the tour, the tour guide will be able to contact you and arrange for you to join the group at a point along the tour.

It was a fantastic mix of food and trivia/history, and the whole team enjoyed it a lot (much better than other 'forced fun' team buildings usually done). I was worried people would come away hungry but it was the opposite - maybe a little too much food and drink! They were able to customize the tour, add the scavenger hunt part for team building, helped us with transportation and even arranged a final dinner for us right in the middle of the action at the Gaslamp Quarter.
