San Diego Food Trucks
What is the one thing that everybody hates about food trucks? No, it’s not their delicious meals that balance comfort with traditional. No, it’s not their discounted prices and hefty portions. No, it’s not the rushing nostalgia that overtakes your childhood-ice-cream-truck fantasies.
The one thing that everybody hates about food trucks is the fact that you never know where to find them! Oh sure, there are sources online that try to track food trucks’ movements, and some sources are more reliable than others. But the fact is, these meals are on wheels. Which means, if they up and decide to ditch their normal spot for a more populated area, it’s up to you to find them!
Well, not anymore. Here, you’re going to find the best food trucks in San Diego and their locations. Here, you’re going to salivate as you seek out your succulent sustenance of choice. Here, you’ll find a flock of food trucks… a colony of culinary cars… a drove of driving diners…
Sorry. Let’s just get on it with it, shall we? Hop in! We’re going on a San Diego tour of the best food trucks this city has to offer.

- Eat Your Heart Out – As they say on their website: They take locally sourced ingredients and wrap them into hand-held delights. If that doesn’t say everything you need to know, then just open wide and let the great food speak for itself.

Every year, Balboa Park puts on the ultimate food experience, Food Truck Fridays. This event is the foodie equivalent of seven minutes in heaven—only the seven minutes is actually four hours long, and instead of being in a closet, you’re in one of the most beautiful parks in California. As one of the leading San Diego food truck events of the year, it could not be left off this list.
Although set your calendars people, this event is only open during the summer. Meaning it won’t be back until 2020.
Where Exactly Do I Nom? You can nom in the wonderful and majestic Balboa Park—specifically in the Plaza de Panama.
When Can I Nom? You can nom from 4 pm to 8:30 pm on Fridays from June to September 2020.
